When sociopaths make sitcoms
The sitcom: Small Wonder. The premise: Vicki (aka VICI, or “Voice Activated Input Child Identicant”) is a little robot girl built by her “father” to help the handicapped…apparently. The father decides to bring Vicki home to live with his family to watch how she learns within a human environment. This being a sitcom, he decides to hide Vicki’s robotic nature from the neighbours. Apparently it is not unusual for American suburban families to sprout emotionless, monotonic 10-year old girls. Hijinks ensue. Did I mention that this show was made by sociopaths? Behold the horror:
This series ran for four inexplicable seasons. In other news, God is dead. Hat tip: AV Club

I was talking about this show to some workmates the other week. No one else remembered it.
I live in Scotland, and we actually imported it. it must have been a TV equivelant of Toxic Debt – OK you can have Dynasty and the A Team, but you have to take this turkey as well.
Truly awful.
